I want one, I want one! Oh yes, this supercalifragilisticexpialidocius ♥ Modern Playhouse makes me want to .. PLAY!

Created by two San Francisco mums, the minimalist indoor/outdoor cubby has a sophisticated design that fits neatly into modern homes, providing a delightful haven for littlies to create, play and imagine.
Constructed from locally sourced sustainable wood, the sturdy design comes in two models, Circle or Wedge, with optional furniture and acessories. And while sleek in profile, its full of possibility thanks to a flexible modular design which makes it suitable for toddlers and young adolescents.
On sale 1 September, Modern Playhouse will be taking pre-orders from 15 August.

There’s been a new trend in my house recently: colouring in one’s toenails and fingernails with felt tips.
No, I’m not the one doing it but it is kinda interesting. I’ve probably painted my nails all of four times in the last four years - I don’t have an aversion to nail polish, the darn stuff just doesn’t stay on when you wash dishes, clean baths, insert a multitude of other domestic chores bores - so as they’re not taking an external cue from me, it’s fair to say the desire to decorate oneself really is innate.
Lasses and lads who like to indulge in creative nail colouring are in for a treat then, as ♥ Hopscotch Kid’s range of non-toxic, water-based nail polishes come in an awesome array of shades, and there’s nothing nasty in them, which means mum and dad won’t be worrying about exposure to chemical nasties. Toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde and acetone are definitely not included in these little jewel hued pots.
Fume free, biodegradable nail polish? Goodness knows that’s a trend we should all hop on board with!

I‘ve gone la la over this Etsy seller ♥ before and now I’ve spied LaLa! Monde’s handmade 100% linen baby ballet shoes, I’m drooling all over again. What can I say about ballet? I was enrolled for a brief stint in my wee years and my performance was, er somewhat challenged. Downright awful. In later years the ballet was ditched in favour of a stint at BMX racing, at which I also consistently under wowed - though at least this time I was enjoying my awfulness!

But I digress. The point is my admiration of a delicate ballet shoe has not been dimmed: I have got a huge crush on these lovely toe tappers! Available in sizing from 3 to 12 months, they can be tied with a front bow or laced around the ankle ballet style.
