jumpseat-bags-vintage-aircraft-textilesI love products with some original quirk, especially when they come with a back story. These bags are just the ticket, or rather they’re just the seat.

Let me explain.

What happens when you mix a creative spirit with an early childhood spent whizzing around the sky thanks to her father’s job as an airline pilot?

A dizzyingly original line of handbags made from vintage airline seating textiles, of course! Yep, that’s right, the bag you’re carrying is the seat you could’ve been sitting on …

Jenny, who built on her childhood travels by becoming a Flight Attendant, has named her funky range ‘Jumpseat Bags’, after the narrow folding chair that attendants sit in.

Both the Touring Bag and Gallery Tote are excellently sized for a girl’s treasures, and come in never before used wool fabric intended for use on the now defunct Rich International Airways.

Details such as seat belt straps and buckle connectors add to the fantasy, and who knows, carrying one of these glamorous bags may just encourage you to a few flights of fancy of your own ..
